Talks and Lectures

Darwin Lecture Series

In the second term of every academic year since 1986 Darwin College has organised a series of eight public lectures. Each series has been built around a single theme, approached in a multi-disciplinary way, and with each lecture prepared for a general audience by a leading authority on his or her subject.

Lunch Time Seminars

Talks are given by Darwin students and fellows and are intended for a general audience. Meetings take place on Tuesdays at lunchtime in the Entertaining Room. Everyone is welcome, whatever your discipline.

CONNECTIONS

CONNECTIONS brings prominent speakers to Cambridge University to discuss topical issues and forge new ties between people inside and outside academia.

It was founded by students of Darwin College in 2009. It is open to all and is sponsored by the Darwin College Student Association and various academic centres within the University of Cambridge.

As well as being a lecture series, CONNECTIONS links Cambridge University students with senior members of academia, government and industry. This inter-disciplinary mix of people allows the exchange of ideas and creates unique networking opportunities.
