Why Darwin Bar is a Great Place
Darwin Bar is one of the last student-run college bars in Cambridge, which means that prices are low (on average 1/3 less than at a pub).
We have a constantly varying range of products on offer - a great selection of draught beers, bottled beers (including German and other foreign beers), real ale on tap and a modest selection of some 30 malt whiskies along with other spirits and soft drinks - so it is not just a rumour that Darwin Bar is considered to be the best college bar in town!
During the year special promotions, cocktail nights, wine/beer tasting nights, quiz nights and more take place along with other college events, so it's no surprise that every evening Darwin Bar welcomes a bunch of friendly people trying to make a dent in our selection of Single Malts (many have failed...) or simply settling down for their favourite pint.

Bar Committee
Darwin Bar is run entirely by Darwin students and we pride ourselves on managing to run without any subsidies from college. What profits we are able to make (have you seen our prices?) are reinvested straight into the bar or spent on improving the college student life.
We are always on the lookout for keen folks who might be interested in getting involved in the Bar Committee. If you are a member of bar staff and interested in joining the Committee, there are usually a number of openings available during the course of the year. Bar Staff
Our staff is made up entirely of eager Darwin students who spend their nights behind the bar serving customers. We recruit and train new bar staff at the beginning of each Michaelmas term, and at subsequent times during the year.
