Darwin Squash Club
According to a list compiled by Forbes magazine, Squash is the world’s healthiest sport (rowing a mere second). Squash is an energetic and strategical game, somewhere between WWE, chess and tiddlywinks.
Darwin has use of the St John‘s college squash courts, a ten minute walk away. We also have a club night on Saturdays from 7-9PM at the Queen‘s college courts.
For people who are interested in learning, we have several rackets and balls available to borrow - ask the porters. Club nights are a good chance to meet other players and learn the basics, with DarBar conveniently nearby for any postmatch dehydration.
For those who are interested in playing more, the college team competes in a university league during the academic year. This can be a good excuse to visit other colleges as well as a chance to sharpen skills in a more competitive setting.
All up, the squash club is a small but friendly group, and we welcome new players at any level. For more information come along on Saturday to Queen‘s college courts (ask the Queen‘s porters for directions) or contact James (firstname.lastname@example.org).
